At Sprinkles Speech Therapy, we believe in providing tailored services that meet the unique needs of each child. As a private pay practice, we are currently out of network with all insurance plans. This allows us the freedom to focus on your child's individual journey without the constraints imposed by insurance companies. While we do not directly bill insurance, we can provide you with a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement if desired. You are responsible for submitting the superbill directly to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. It is recommended to contact your insurance company before your first visit to inquire about out-of-network benefits. They may request the following information:

The first step in your child's journey with Sprinkles Speech Therapy begins with a quick call. During this consultation, we will discuss your child's skills, your concerns, and determine if Sprinkles Speech Therapy is the right fit for your family. This initial conversation sets the foundation for understanding your child's needs and tailoring our services accordingly.

After our initial consultation, we'll establish goals for speech therapy together. We'll begin therapy sessions tailored to your child's needs. Most sessions will be conducted via teletherapy for convenience and accessibility. The frequency and duration of your child's therapy will vary based on the goals we've established together. Throughout this process, we'll remain flexible and responsive to your child's progress, adjusting our approach as needed to ensure optimal results.

Speech Screenings are similar to comprehensive evaluations; they both give us information about your child's current speech/language skills. Formal evaluations are norm-referenced and compare your child to a larger group (usually kids of the same age/gender). Informal screenings can give us similar information by seeing your child as an individual rather than a statistic.
This varies from child to child. Some children may be working on their articulation skills while others may be working on increasing their expressive language. Within the first few sessions, will work together to develop common goals that you would like to see your child achieve. After that, I will provided engaging and exciting activities for your child to help improve their speech and language skills.

A comprehensive evaluation typically includes formal measures of speech and/or language. These tests are norm-referenced. They are designed to compare a child's performance against a larger group, which is usually of kids around the country of the same age/gender. Norm-referenced tests yield numbers such as standard scores and percentile ranks. While these numbers can be helpful, it doesn't allow us to see the whole picture. Your child is more than just a test score!
Absolutely! The American Speech/Language Hearing Association (ASHA) has deemed teletherapy as an effective and practical way to provide services. Sometimes, it may be easier to join an online session from home when there is a busy schedule. If you carry over strategies learned with your speech therapist outside of sessions, it is likely your child's skills will improve.
You will enjoy a welcoming and friendly speech therapist who provides therapy in a play-based approach. I am also a neurodiversity-affirming therapist, meaning that I can understand and acknowledge various neurological differences in children. I don't focus on "changing" or "fixing" these differences, instead, celebrating them and sharing information with you on how to help your child's speech/language skills.
